    Porsche 928 MAINTENANCE HISTORY

This is a very important part of ownership for these cars. They demand attention and do not take very well to being treated like most other makes of car would. Don't forget that Porsche last produced the 928 (GTS) in 1995, and even then they only produced a handful of these, so they are at least between 12 and 30 years old now.

I've put together a history report from my 1981 928 that's been collected over the years since it's delivery to Australia. It's quite lengthy as you would expect from a 26 year old supercar, but has some key maintenance tasks that other 928 owners could benefit from.

An interesting hand written note I found on this invoice is an add for the sale of the car. This is 4 years before I came along to buy the car.

It reads;

'For Sale 1982 Porsche 928 auto. Aust. delivery with all 'S' options, white with dark brown interior. Mechanically sound with full service history. Bargain prestige driving at $12,950'.

The 'S' options is true but it's a MY1981 not a MY1982. I wonder who the lucky owner was then??
